AC Wiring Hookup to RV System

AC WIRING HOOKUP TO YOUR RV ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Inverter/chargers have a unique feature that allows automatic operation when wired into the RV's electrical system.

HOW IT WORKS

The INVERTER supplies 120VAC to selected plugs, microwave oven or TV/VCR sets 24 hours a day while dry camping. When you start the generator or plug into shore power, the TRANSFER SWITCH passes power through to the appliances and runs the 3 stage high-output BATTERY CHARGER at the same time. Optional REMOTE CONTROL can be used to control the unit from the convenience of being located any place inside the RV.

HOW IT HOOKS UP TO YOUR RV WIRING

Your installer will find it simple to wire into your AC breaker panel or gen/shore transfer switch. First identify each breaker in the AC distribution panel and label the wire. Learn which plug and appliance goes to each breaker. Pull the labeled wire out of the breaker. This creates the connection points for the new HOT INPUT wire to and OUTPUT wire from the inverter. The neutral wires follow the same sequence. The remote control usually is wired with small telephone type wire and just plugs into the inverter unit. Each model has full detailed hookup directions in the manufacturer's manuals.
