An inverter silently changes 12 volt from
batteries to 120 volt AC to operate common household appliances and tools.
The main benefits of an inverter powered system are: convenience, instant
reliable AC power without noise, fumes or vibration and real savings in
fuel and maintenance as opposed to using an engine run generator. An inverter
extends the useful life of a generator.
The basic RV electrical system uses DC light, TV and
water pump from a couple RV/Marine batteries. You can improve on you
electrical independence by adding an inverter. Add a couple of batteries,
a high output alternator or solar panels and you have greatly enhanced
your RV's power system for total electrical independence.
The inverter sends AC power to outlets to run most appliances,
color TV, VCR and satellite, vacuum cleaner, power tools, microwave
oven and computer. You can use these appliances late at night or early
AM when generator noise is not acceptable. What more could you want?
BUILT-IN BATTERY CHARGER: Our inverters
function as a superior battery charger that automatically TRANSFERS
when the generator starts or stops, to supply AC to the plugs in your
rig 24 hours a day.
REMOTE CONTROL PANEL: This one item makes
the whole system respond at your finger tips. Conveniently located inside
the rig, the control panel prevents the loss of valuable battery power
when AC is not needed, like at night. There is a selection of monitors
available that can measure volts, amps and other values.
INVERTER POWER OUTPUT: There is Modified
wave and Pure Sine Wave inverters available with high efficiency and
regulated voltage for even the most sophisticated appliance. Surge power
watts are exceptionally high for short burst to start large appliances
and motors. Low idle current is important when the unit is waiting for
you to turn that appliance on without wasting battery energy.
BATTERY RESERVE STORAGE: Large loads like
a microwave oven require sufficient battery power to cause cooking.
We have found that 3 or four batteries are necessary for microwaves.
Golf cart batteries are superior for long life and deep cycle use.
