FUSE PROTECTION FOR YOUR RV BATTERIES & INVERTER
An RV with multiple batteries has tremendous energy. Locating a "CATASTROPHE FUSE" in the heavy wire at the battery bank can avert a vehicle fire. The fuse must be heavy enough to allow operation of the vehicle starter, large inverter and generator, but will blow only if a dangerous short circuit occurs. Some equipment requires a surge greater than 200 amps. We supple a type T fuse 250 Amp for most RV systems.
Adding the fuse in the negative line, rather than the positive line, prevents accidental short circuits or contact with (-) and protects the entire system.
A CATASTROPHE
FUSE is included in Sensor/Fuse Kit
This complete assembly & kit is an option for our RV-30
Digital Monitor and High Capacity Regulator. We encourage the use of the pre-assembled
kit since it already includes 2/0 battery cable, small sensor wire, connections
and instructions. Also see Noel's
Package, which is not a kit but a complete installation.
